The search that led to the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb is well known. However, a king required not only an underground tomb to house his body and accompanying goods, but also a mortuary temple in which prayers were said. The wealth of funerary goods and artefacts discovered in the tomb has rather deflected attention from the fact that we don’t have Tutankhamun’s mortuary temple – or do we?
