Re-excavating the Royal Tomb of Horemheb in the Valley of the Kings
Abstract
The tomb was found by Theodore Davis in 1908, and his published report appeared in 1912. It is selective, however, and many questions remained unanswered. A great deal of debris was left in the tomb, and there was no evidence that this had been thoroughly examined by Davis' workmen. A re-excavation seemed worthwhile, and when undertaken over three short seasons interesting results emerged.
