Pauline NorrisThis lecture will introduce ancient Egyptian Astronomy.  Amongst other topics, we will look at the latest thinking about Nabta Playa and Nut the sky-goddess.  

Pauline is an Egyptologist with an interest in archaeo-astronomy, also known as cultural astronomy. Her particular interest is in how the Egyptians used their knowledge of the heavens in their belief systems and aligning their monumental architecture.  Pauline is a member of Newtown Astronomy Society in Mid-Wales and also edits the TVAES Newsletter.
